Pre-requisites
Upper Beginner Cantonese 3, OR understand the use of some basic final particles, can form direct statements and questions in Cantonese, give directions, and a basic familiarity of Jyutping.
Material
Cantonese for Upper Beginners: Levels 3&4 Curriculum.
Material will be distributed both digitally and in print.

About this Course
Whether you had taken other Cantonese classes in the past and now need to brush it up, or grew up speaking Cantonese with families but now gradually lost it after not regularly using it, this Upper Beginner Level 4 class is for those of you who come from different backgrounds of Cantonese.
In this course, you will be introduced to sentences with more complex structures and additional modifiers to express your thoughts more concisely and precisely. You will also get more familiarized with the application of tones and Jyutping, one of the standard Cantonese Romanization systems that is commonly used today.
After studying this 8-week course, you will be able to ask and answer hold a simple conversation with your families and native friends as well as writing short paragraphs.
Writing
There will be 15 minutes in each session that is used to study traditional Chinese characters.
