Beginner Taishanese 2,  OR family members, colors, directions, some daily routines, present & past aspects, and a basic familiarity of Wu’s Phonetic System.

Taishanese for Upper Beginners: Levels 3&4 Curriculum.

About this Course

 

You have now reached the more fun parts of learning Taishanese! Starting from the Upper Beginner series (Level 3+), we will be working more on building ideas and expressing opinions in Taishanese. This Upper Beginner Taishanese Level 3 class is for you to pick up where you left off from your last course of basic Taishanese Level 1 and 2, or if you grew up listening to Taishanese but never had a chance to formally learn to its syntax and phonology.

 

In this course, you will be introduced with more daily sentence structures and vocabulary and understand how to form meaningful conversations with them. You will also practice the application of tones in Wu’s Intonation System, a Taishanese Romanization systems that Inspirlang created.

 

After studying this 8-week course, you will be able to ask and answer hold a simple conversation with your families and native friends as well as writing short paragraphs.

 

Writing

There will be 15 minutes in each session that is used to study traditional Chinese characters.
