Rose Zhang is a Mandarin immersion teacher in Polis Montessori World School. She received her Master’s degree from New York University in Teaching English as Second Language(TESOL) and Teaching Mandarin as Foreign language. She received two New York State teaching license in TESOL and Teaching Mandarin in 2018. She also completed her Teaching Certificate Program in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and TCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) from Teachers College, Columbia University and Beijing Language and Culture University in 2016. Rose was born and raised in Beijing before she came to US to pursue a Bachelor’s degree at Purdue University in comparative literature. Growing up, she always finds language and literature fascinating. Rose has taught both English and Mandarin in different age group from kindergarten to adult in China, Japan and US. She enjoys teaching and helping people and she desires to take advantage of her multi-cultural backgrounds to be a bridge between China and the world. During free time, Rose likes to read books and learn Japanese.
